Trust . Join . Grow . Serve . Reach

Grades 6-12

We are pleased to offer a wide variety of ministry activities to our students. Our goal is for each person to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, be baptized into the membership of the church, grow in their personal relationship with Christ, use their gifts and talents in some form of ministry within the Body, and ultimately turn these gifts and talents outward by volunteering in missions and sharing the love of Jesus with a lost and dying world.

Enjoying Treetop Adventures

While most of our youth group activities involve serious commitment and dedication, sometimes we just want to have some good, clean fun with our brothers and sisters in Christ. We play games at our Christian Life Center, go to the movies or go out to eat, attend a swim party or have a cookout at someone's house. A favorite tradition is to start every summer right with a trip to Six Flags Over Georgia. By sharing experiences, from bazooka ball to bowling, young people develop Christ honoring friendships.
Our commitment to the Great Commission leads us to share the life changing power of the gospel. We encourage our students to invite others to The Exchange, a Wednesday Night, youth-oriented praise and worship service beginning at 6:00 PM in the Youth Suite. Students also engage in a variety of personal witnessing efforts. One approach is the distribution of The Lifebook resource produced by the Gideons. In all our efforts to reach out, we simply want to share the love of Jesus with everyone in the world.

Jesus did not command us merely to make converts, but to make disciples. A disciple is a follower of Christ, a student in the ways of God, one committed to a growing personal relationship with Jesus. We encourage every student to be active in a small group where they will be challenged toward deeper Bible Study, prayer and accountability. Each year, we sponsor a Disciple Now Weekend. This retreat equips students for spiritual growth as they begin the school year. We want our students to be mature followers of Christ.

Our youth are involved in a wide variety of music ministries from traditional Youth Choir to contemporary forms of praise and worship. Out of Nothing is the name of our Youth Praise Band which plays at The Exchange on Wednesday Nights. We also offer young ladies an exciting and creative opportunity to use their gifts by serving on our Dance Team. Whatever musical skills or styles our young people choose to embrace, we seek to offer an expression that allows them to use their talents in honoring God.

Our students are encouraged to participate in missions through a wide variety of local, national and international opportunities. In some cases, we help needy people in our area with simple chores around their house. We have also traveled to the Alabama coast to serve in Children's Homes and in prison ministries. Some of our youth have traveled internationally, serving in a very different culture, even in third world environments. Our desire is to teach our students that we are all missionaries wherever we go.
