Shining the light on the hill by connecting with Jesus Christ, connecting with each other, and connecting with the world.

Bible Studies

A variety of Bible studies are held through the year. Each quarter a listing of upcoming studies are presented. Beth Moore Studies, Book Studies, and others are frequently offered.

Coping with Grief

This group will examine grief as a result of the loss of a loved one; the stages of grief, working your way through grief, the process of healing, the role of faith, reinvesting your energy, and moving forward.

DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRY FAIR

We intentionally provide ministry fairs at the start of each quarter to alert our faith community of upcoming Bible studies and discipleship opportunities. Booths and leaders can be found in our Fellowship Hall on these days where you can sign up for classes or sessions.

Drama Ministry

This ministry works through our services to worship God through the arts and theater. Dozens of adults and youth participate. Some of the recent dramas include Tale of Three Trees, The Living Last Supper, and Scrooge.

Emmaus Community

We encourage our members to continue growing in faith and knowledge of the Lord. The Walk to Emmaus is one of those opportunities for growth. This three-day experience takes a New Testament look at Christianity as a lifestyle. It is a highly structured weekend designed to strengthen and renew the faith of Christian people. Emmaus is a combined effort of laity and clergy toward the renewal of the church. For more information about the next available walk check out our local Emmaus chapter at http://northernlightsemmaus.org

Newcomer Welcome

This session is for newcomers who are considering membership. The session is designed to provide a concise orientation to the Monroe United Methodist Church community and what it means to be a member. A history of the United Methodist Church and our beliefs are also presented.

Prayer Ministry

We believe in the power of prayer. This is an important part of our discipleship as believers. We will transform lives and the community through intercessory prayer, the formation of personal prayer and shared prayer experience. Pray chains and our prayer shawl ministry enrich our lives.

Prayer and Before Surgery

The pastor is available to pray with you and your family before surgery, or during hospitalization. Please contact the church office at 513.539.7290 with times and location. Due to HIPPA regulations, the hospital will not call and inform the church of your hospitalization.

Small Group Ministry

Sunday School Ministry

We believe in spiritual growth and enrichment. Adult classes meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 and 10:45 to study, pray, and fellowship together. Sunday mornings remain a key time for the community of faith to come together for discipleship growth and development. Opportunities are offered for all ages.

Teacher Appreciation

Along with our SAIL team ministry we appreciate our schools and support our teachers. We support our Sunday School and Public teachers. In addition, to our annual event of blessing for educators, we work at providing on-going prayer and encouragement.
