Love really does lift us up
The past few months have been a challenging experience working on the Accessibility Project. The experience has taught me a lot about myself and how I can be a better person. It has particularly taught me the meaning of patience and faith. Fortunately I was blessed by having a strong team on the committee without whose help I would have failed.
Last Sunday we celebrated a major milestone in the life of the Church that will help us to serve our congregation and community better by making the building more accessible.
This can affect anyone confined to a wheelchair or who has difficulty walking. It will be exciting to see what new opportunities we will have now that the work is done.
After the celebration the Lifts where dedicated. The lift in the Narthex was in memory of Chris Burretta and then we went to the Lift in the education building. A very kind donor dedicated the lift in my name. What an honor. I would have never expected this especially with what so many do for the Church. Thank you.
I wish to thank everyone on the committee for all their hard work and commitment:
Chris Hoff
Carl Markey
Pamela Helms
Nicole Order
Rev. Mack

And I want to thank the congregation for their support and encouragement.
Sincerely, Peter Orford
